According to a senior police officer, a “blood-stained” garment and a knife were also discovered in the Chakia neighborhood of this Uttar Pradesh district.
The police arrived at Ahmed’s office after obtaining information that blood stains had been spotted there, according to Deputy Police Commissioner Deepak Bhukar.

Investigation until now
Ahmed, a former member of parliament for the Samajwadi Party, and his sibling Ashraf were murdered by three assailants on April 15 as they were being transported by police for a medical examination. They were hauled here in relation to the 2005 murder of Umesh Pal.
On March 21, police recovered more than Rs 74 lakh in cash and illegal firearms from Ahmed’s partially demolished office in the Chakia neighborhood, based on information provided by two of his five accomplices arrested on the same day, according to officials.
The front portion of his office was reportedly obliterated by the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) with a bulldozer many years ago.
